Summer Card Challenge

I’ve made this card for Simon Says Stamp’s Summer Sunshine challenge.

I’ve combined a couple of stamp sets and came up with this:-

I used a bright and sunshine-y yellow background to make everything else pop and have used the lolly-ice stamp to create a smaller background. I got some new shimmery watercolours I’ve been wanting to use, which make some nice and shiny lolly-ices 🙂

I stamped and hand-cut out a cute dog and coloured him in with Promarkers then decided he looked hungry so drew him a tongue and gave him an ice cream 🙂

I have some pink spotted washi tape along the side and added some pink spotted ribbon to sit the sentiment on. I die cut the ‘smile’ sentiment twice on fluorescent pink card and once on black and layered them to give a 3D/shadow effect.

Materials I used for this were:-

  • Hero Arts Oh Happy Day mini-stamp set
  • Newton’s Nook Pug Hugs stamp set
  • Lawn Fawn Smile sentiment die
  • Ribbon & Tape from eBay
  • Promarkers in Putty, Azure, Soft Peach, Meadow Green
  • Gansai Tambi Pearl Colours Watercolour set
